I'd like to believe that the future holds weight in the children - which is obvious, everything grows up. The young become the elder and the elder...well, they go somewhere far away. But, for the moment - you must nurture what's growing and with that comes an exciting magazine called Nickelodeon Magazine.

Nickelodeon Magazine is an interesting publication, Nickelodeon is the award-winning entertainment and humor magazine from Nickelodeon TV. It's packed with fascinating facts, celebrity interviews, comics, pull-outs, puzzles, activities, and the inside scoop on Nick TV. For children ages 6-14!

As I was growing up, I never really had children's magazines but I know that if they were around, maybe I could be a different person now. At my age, I remember the Archie's or the Mad-Libs, but other then that, I was stuck with either Ren & Stimpy or...who knows.

I'm sure everybody can agree with me, I found this cool link of children's quotes and I wanted to leave for everybody to read up on. John W. Whitehead said in 1983, "Children are the living message we send to a time we will not see." It's an incredible gift to give something to somebody that could potentially grow up and help you - and I'd like to believe that it's a commonality...to want to allow a flower to grow. 

Nickelodeon Magazine is exciting and full of information - I recommend it to all parents looking to shower their child with a wealth of knowledge and of course, teach them to laugh a little (full of humor).

More About Nickelodeon: Nickelodeon Magazine was first published in 1993 as an extension of the Nickelodeon brand of television created specifically for kids. The magazine offers a variety of entertainment for boys and girls ages 6-14. Each month the magazine has a different focus, such as the “Music Issue”. The latest issue of Time is covering the "myth" of clean energy. According to this, we can't have our cake and eat it too. Its full of studies and statistics that show that upcoming "biofuels" and "corn ethanol" may be just as bad or worse for the environment than current fuels. It goes deeper (as Time always does) to show how use of such fuels may actually drive the costs of necessities such as food up rather than down. Anyone who's been trying to "live green" should definitely check out this eye-opener.

New York is covering the wacky tale of a group that just cant seem to properly understand basic American rights. The only difference is, they're rich Manhattanites. As the story goes, a few students berated a teacher on a popular social networking site. The teacher read the comments and complained. This caused an uproar among the students' parents', accusing the teacher of "invasion of privacy". Who gets in trouble? Nobody! The students have a thing called freedom of speech and the teacher is at no fault since the comments were posted in public. If you love to laugh at rich people who's problems are caused by their own stupidity, check out New York Magazine.

Lets face it, the world can be a crazy place. The media is having a field day with all of the stuff happening in the world lately and the magazines are no exception. This month, New York Magazine focuses on the Bear Stearns crisis. They seem to be betting that the CEO of a more established bank will swoop in and buy up everything. How much truth this holds is up to the individual to decide.

Newsweek Magazine is more on the political side of life. Barack Obama is scrutinized by what seems to be every writer newsweek has on staff. Its a good thing to know what your candidates are all about. Keep an eye on this mag, as it will more than likely give you a heads up on the up coming elections.

Time heads to Asia to chronicle the Dali Lama's quest for peace (or even recognition) in Chinese Asia. As the Olympic Games draw near, China's role as a government and a people will be further picked apart by this classy but down-to-the-wire magazine. The mag goes further to discuss the Wall Street journal's prediction of the post-election economy (and they're not too happy about it either.)

As a present to my mother, I  recently bought her a subscription of Good Housekeeping Magazine and although it has yet to come, I've had the liberty of flipping through a few pages (from time to time) of this great resource.

When it comes to women's magazines, it's important to give the subscriptions that keeping on helping. I've read about Good Housekeeping and it actually happens to be one of our top selling magazines, so, I was ultimately drawn to it.

Good Housekeeping is devoted to contemporary women. The articles focus on food, fitness, beauty, and child care using the resources of the Good Housekeeping institute. From human interest stories and social issues to money management and travel, the magazine will encourage positive living for today's woman.

As a son, you sincerely can not ask for me, what is better then a magazine that offers a plethora of advice that will inevitably enhance the lives of your loved ones. I must give this magazine 2 thumbs up - because it touches up on every topic worth touching up on. I believe women are a delicate species - constantly helping and thinking and growing - to offer a publication that delivers positive results and increases "happy thoughts" is an incredible thing. I've been a lover of Men's Health ever since it hit the racks in 1988 and it's only gotten better and better. When it comes to magazine subscriptions at a great value, Men's Health Magazine is the way to go. For $14.96, you get a magazine that is filled with articles that will help any man get into better shape, both physically and mentally.

Men's Health is solid but I have my issues with it - as I do with almost anything. I understand that a magazine has to have X amount of pages and have X amount of articles but the amount of self help peices in Men's Health could make ANY man feel uncomfortable. They do an incredible job in digging up stuff that most guys would find interesting but it would take a  guy with such a strict regiment to have the capacity to incorporate their little tid-bits.

From ways of slimming down, finding the perfect women, helping your career or keeping a solid head of hair on your head - Men's Health Magazine nails it perfectly. At times, it may seem a little redundant at times - but all in all, for $14.96 - you can not go wrong. Even if you take away a little of each subscription, you're still miles ahead of the guy next to you.

Besides, we all know, action speaks louder then words!

Magazine Of The Day: Sports Illustrated

As our first review, I decided to pick one that is near and dear to our hearts, the always fact filled and action pact Sports Illustrated Magazine.

For as long as I could remember, I've been an avid sports fan. From the years of Michael Jordan wearing that number 23 when the Chicago Bulls nailed their "threepeat" to the time of Larry Bird facing off against Magic Johnson. I grew up reading this incredible magazine and to me, it's always been a phenomenal publication - never veering off track and always staying true to it's colors. It's by far and away the easiest way to catch up on games missed, important information and if none of that floats your boat, subscribing to it just for the swimsuit edition is the perfect excuse to spend the money. I commend Sports Illustrated Magazine for all that they have accomplished and if they were a stock, they'd be a blue chip till the end of time.
